In autumn 2025, Volker Siebert came up with the idea of using the impressive landscape of the Ries crater as the guiding theme for the BSE Chapter Rieskrater. Since then, the 3D course in Schneetal in Wemding and the 3D course in Lehmingen have been part of the Chapter Rieskrater.
