In our Chapter Odenwald, a variety of bow types, styles, and disciplines come together with the shared goal of advancing the sport of archery. Most of our members are actively involved in different clubs throughout the Odenwald/Spessart/Mainfranken region. We welcome all types, styles, and disciplines of archery (as long as they are, of course, legal 😉) — we stand firmly against “gatekeeping” and encourage looking beyond one’s own perspective. We regularly visit courses in the region together and are actively involved in organizing various events (tournaments, “Halloween shoots,” etc.). Members also regularly attend the BSE annual gathering. At the moment, traditional bows and compound bows (with or without sights, including intuitive shooting) are the most widely represented among us. However, many of our members practice both disciplines. We shoot anything that’s not up in the trees by the count of three and are always open to trying something new!
